My Why...

When I was in naturopathic medical school, I was diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases and Lyme disease. It was through my healing journey that I found quantum biology.

My physician encouraged me to explore psychoneuroimmunology - how our thoughts impact our health. At the time, I was researching mitochondrial function and stumbled across early quantum biology research from UC Berkley. Researchers were studying how a photon of light gets to the reaction center for photosynthesis to occur.

There were incredible discoveries about how the photon takes multiple paths, quantum tunnels through obstacles but the most amazing thing to me was the emergence of quantum coherence. The proteins in the cell all vibrated in unison to keep the photon on the fastest path. A reflection of a universal intelligence that reverberates throughout every living being on this planet.

It was the quantum coherence that blew my mind. The chaos of life brings forth the intelligent coherence needed for incredible quantum effects. Coherence refers to two or more things acting as one - two people dancing the tango or multiple water droplets forming a wave in the ocean. There is a guiding coherence in life that creates order out of chaos. It is present in the rising and setting of the sun, the fractal designs in nature, the droplets of dew that cling to the grass- this coherence is within all of us. Our bodies, like a symphony require a conductor else the music turns into noise. Coherence is that conductor and it is vital to our health.
